“If I were to rate this trip on a scale of 1-10, then it deserves an 11 and here’s why: Trip leader Karl was excellent and attentive when needed. He provided more insight into photo opportunities and camera use than expected but very much appreciated. I would highly recommend a learning experience with Karl – he always has your back. Also, our local guide was great and functioned as a fixer, provided verbal history lessons, translator, guard and set up local monks and other photographic opportunities. The discussions and Karl’s lectures were of great assistance for both this trip and my general photography. My photography improved and shot many excellent photos, in my opinion. All the photo opportunities were well planned out. Time for each opportunity was maximized depending on the activity. There were at least two events that occurred spontaneous and time was made to take advantage of the situation. In general the entire visit was at the top of my travels, it fulfilled every hope and expectation I had. I absolutely feel like I got good value for the investment. I’m ready to go again.”

He gave us useful suggestions before each foray into the field and we learned techniques that were new to us.
